Asset Description

The Mahar Muni Bamboo-Lacquer Image, also known as the "Hnee Buddha" because it is woven from "Hnee" (bamboo strips), dates back to the Innwa period, according to historical records and expert assessments. This remarkable statue stands 8 feet and 4 inches tall. It is crafted from woven bamboo, lacquered, and then covered in gold leaf, showcasing exceptional artistic craftsmanship.
Due to the missionary efforts of the head monk of the Hnee Buddha monastery, the pagoda has become a popular destination for both pilgrims and tourists. The site has remained unaffected by natural earthquakes. Currently, the head monk and the local community collaboratively ensure its maintenance and preservation.

မဟာမုနိနှီးဘုရားကို သမိုင်းပညာရှင်များ၏ စစ်ဆေးမှတ်တမ်းတင်ချက်အရ အင်းဝခေတ်လက်ရာဟု ဆိုပါသည်။ ဆင်းတုတော်၏ ဉာဏ်တော်အမြင့်မှာ (၈) ပေနှင့် (၄)လက်မ ရှိပါသည်။ ဆင်းတုတော်မှာ နှီးဖြင့် ရက်လုပ်ထားသောကြောင့် နှီးဘုရားဟု ခေါ်တွင်ကြခြင်းဖြစ်သည်။ နှီးများဖြင့် ရက်လုပ်ပြီး သစ်စေး သုတ်ထားသော ဆင်တုတော်အား ရွှေချထားသည်ကို တွေ့ရပါသည်။ ဘုရားဆင်းတုတော်တွင် အနုပညာလက်ရာများကို တွေ့မြင်နိုင်ပါသည်။
နှီးဘုရားကျောင်းထိုင်ဆရာတော်ဘုရားကြီး၏ သာသာနာပြုလုပ်ငန်းများကြောင့် ယခုအခါတွင် ဘုရားဖူးဧည်သည်များနှင့် ခရီးသွားများ၏ စိတ်ဝင်စားမှုကြောင့် ဘုရားမှာ စည်ကားလျက်ရှိပါသည်။ သဘာဝ ငလျင်ဘေးကြောင့် ထိခိုက်မှုများကိုတော့ မတွေ့ရပါ။ လက်ရှိတွင် ကျောင်းထိုင်ဆရာတော်ဘုရားကြီးနှင့် ရပ်ရွာလူထုများက ထိန်းသိမ်းစောင့်ရှောက်မှုများ ပြုလုပ်နေကြသည်ကို လေ့လာတွေ့ရှိခဲ့ရပါသည်။
