Asset Information

During the reign of King Bodawpaya (Badon Min), a campaign was launched to collect all the stone inscriptions across Myanmar in order to differentiate and record royal lands from religious lands. However, many of the difficult-to-transport inscriptions were left behind on the roads or piled up in various locations. These abandoned inscriptions were later collected and preserved by the Department of Archaeology in local inscription repositories. The Htu Pa Yon Inscription House is one such collection, named after its location within the compound of the Htu Pa Yon Pagoda.
The Htu Pa Yon Inscription House safeguards 71 inscription slabs from the Bagan, Pinya, and Innwa eras. These inscriptions are invaluable for understanding the religious beliefs, cultural arts, and ancient literature of those periods. Written in ancient script, they also provide crucial insights into the evolution and standards of early Burmese writing and terminology. Most of the inscriptions document acts of merit, offering a rich resource for studying the religious practices and beliefs of the ancient Burmese people.
Following the 2025 earthquake, the Htu Pa Yon Inscription House collapsed, leaving the inscription slabs vulnerable to breakage and damage. To protect them from further weather exposure and natural disasters, the remaining intact slabs and fragments require relocation to a safer environment.

ဗဒုံမင်းလက်ထက်တွင် မင်းပိုင်မြေနှင့် သာသနာပိုင်မြေများအား ခွဲခြားမှတ်တမ်းတင်နိုင်စေရေးအတွက် မြန်မာနိုင်တဝှမ်းရှိ ကျောက်စာများအားသယ်ယူရာတွင် သယ်ယူရခက်ခဲသော ကျောက်စာချပ်များကို လမ်းခရီး၌ပင် ထားရစ်ခဲ့ကြခြင်း၊ နေရာတစ်ခုတွင် စုပုံထားခဲ့ကြခြင်းတို့ ပြုလုပ်ခဲ့ကြသည်။ ထိုသို့ချန်ရစ်ခဲ့သောကျောက်စာများကို နောင်တွင် ရှေးဟောင်းသုတေသနဦးစီးဌာနက ဒေသအလိုက် ကျောက်စာရုံများ တည်ဆောက်ထိန်းသိမ်းခဲ့ကြသည်။ ထူပါရုံကျောက်စာရုံသည် ထိုသို့သောကျောက်စာရုံများထဲမှ တစ်ခုအပါအဝင်ဖြစ်ပြီး ထူပါရုံစေတီတော်အတွင်း တည်ရှိသောကြောင့် ယင်းအမည်တွင်ခဲ့ခြင်း ဖြစ်သည်။
ထူပါရုံကျောက်စာရုံတွင် ကျောက်စာချပ်ရေ (၇၁) ချပ် ထိန်းသိမ်းထားပြီး အဆိုပါ ကျောက်စာများသည် ပုဂံ၊ ပင်းယ၊ အင်းဝ စသည့် ခေတ်ကာလအတွင်း ရေးထိုးထားသောကျောက်စာများဖြစ်ပြီး ထိုခေတ်ကာလများ၏ ကိုးကွယ်ယုံကြည်မှုအယူဝါဒများ၊ ယဉ်ကျေးမှုအနုပညာများနှင့် ရှေးခေတ်စာပေအရေးအသားတို့ကို လေ့လာနိုင်သည်။ ကျောက်စာများကို မျက်မှောက်ခေတ်သုံး အက္ခရာများဖြင့် ရေးထိုးခဲ့ခြင်းမဟုတ်ဘဲ၊ ရှေးခေတ်သုံး အက္ခရာနှင့် အရေးအသား၊ အသုံးအနှုန်းများဖြင့် ရေးထိုးထားခြင်းကြောင့် ရှေးခေတ်စာပေအရေးအသားများ၏ အဆင့်အတန်းကိုသိရှိနိုင်သည်။ ကမ္ဗည်းကျောက်စာအများစုသည် ကုသိုလ်ကောင်းမှုဆိုင်ရာ မှတ်တမ်းများ ဖြစ်ကြသောကြောင့် ရှေးခေတ်မြန်မာလူမျိုးတို့၏ ဘာသာတရားဆိုင်ရာ သက်ဝင်ယုံကြည်မှုဖြစ်ရပ်များကို လေ့လာနိုင်ပါသည်။
၂၀၂၅ ခုနှစ် ငလျင်ကြောင့် ထူပါရုံကျောက်စာရုံပြိုပျက်သွားပြီး ကျောက်စာချပ်များလည်း ကျိုးပဲ့ပျက်စီးသွားသည့် အန္တရာယ်နှင့်တွေ့ကြုံခဲ့ရပါသည်။ မပျက်စီးသေးသော ကျောက်စာချပ်အချို့နှင့် ကျောက်စာအကျိုးအပဲ့များကို ရာသီဥတုဒဏ်၊ သဘာဝဘေးဒဏ်တို့မှ ကင်းလွတ်ရာသို့ ရွှေ့ပြောင်းထိန်းသိမ်းခြင်းများ ပြုလုပ်သင့်ပါသည်။
