Asset Description

Tarye Cave, a natural limestone cave near Tarye village, is a sacred and highly revered site. It is named after the Tarye, a subgroup of the Shan ethnic group, and is believed to have appeared at the same time as Pindaya Shwe U Min Cave. Legend states that the area was once a meditation spot for a great hermit.
Inside the cave, many ancient Buddha statues and stupas, approximately a total of 298, are believed to date from the Nyaungyan and Konbaung periods. Behind the statues, natural cave formations, including carved stone decorations, stalactites, and rock pillars, are prominent. While the main cave extends about 500 feet from the end of the hall where the Buddha statues are located, this is reportedly only a third of its total length. Due to numerous paths, a guide is recommended to prevent getting lost.
For generations, the local community has preserved Tarye Cave. Locals hold donation ceremonies and meditation retreats here during the months of Thadingyut and Tazaungmon. Although the cave has not suffered from natural disasters, it has experienced weathering over time. Local monks and the community lead renovation efforts and are committed to preserving the ancient carvings. However, they face challenges in documenting its history and lack sufficient resources for comprehensive preservation and maintenance.

တရဲဥမင်ဂူသည် တရဲရွာအနီး သဘာဝအလျောက်ဖြစ်ပေါ်နေသော ထုံးကျောက်ဂူတစ်ခု ဖြစ်ပါသည်။ တရဲ ဟုခေါ်သော တိုင်းလိုင်းရှမ်းများ ကို အစွဲပြု၍ တရဲဉမင်ဂူဟု ခေါ်ကြသည်။ ပင်းတယ ရွှေဥမင်နှင့် တစ်ချိန်တည်း ပေါ်ထွက်လာခဲ့သည်ဆို၍ လည်းသိကြသည်။ ထိုဧရိယာသည် ရသေ့ကြီးတစ်ပါး တရားထုတ်ခဲ့သည့်နေရာအဖြစ် ဒဏ္ဍာရီများ ရှိပါသည်။
လှိုဏ်ဂူအဝင်တွင် ရှေးဟောင်းဗုဒ္ဓရုပ်ပွားတော်များစွာရှိပြီး စေတီများကိုလည်း လှိုဏ်ဂူအတွင်းတွင် တွေ့နိုင်သည်။ စေတီနှင့်ရုပ်ပွားတော် အရေအတွက် (၂၉၈) ဆူခန့်ရှိပြီး ညောင်ရမ်းခေတ်နှင့် ကုန်းဘောင်ခေတ် လက်ရာများဟု ခန့်မှန်းရပြီး ရပ်ရွာမှ လက်ဆင့်ကမ်းစောင့်ရှောက်လာခဲ့သော ကိုးကွယ်ရာ၊ အထွတ်အမြတ်ထားရာ နေရာတစ်ခုဖြစ်သည်။ ဆင်းတုတော်မျာ၏ အနောက်တွင် သဘာဝဂူရှိပြီး ကျောက်ဆစ်ပန်းဆွဲများ၊ ကျောက်ဆစ်မိုးမျှော်များနှင့် ကျောက်တိုင်များကို တွေ့ရပါသည်။ ဆင်းတုတော်တည်ထားရာ ဂူမ၏အဆုံးမှ တိုင်းတာပြီး ပေ (၅၀၀) ထိ သွားသော်လည်း သုံးပုံတစ်ပုံသာရောက်သေးသည်ဟု လမ်းပြပြောပြချက်အရ သိရပါသည်။ ဂူအတွင်းတွင် လမ်းကြောင်းများ များပြားသောကြောင့် လမ်းပြမပါလျှင် လမ်းမှားနိုင်ပါသည်။
တရဲဥမင်ဂူသည် သီတင်းကျွတ်လနှင့် တန်ဆောင်မုန်းလအတွင်း ဒေသခံများ၏ အလှူပွဲများနှင့် တရားပွဲများ ပြုလုပ်ရာနေရာ ဖြစ်သည်။ သဘာဝဘေးအန္တရာယ်များ ထိခိုက်ခြင်း မရှိသော်လည်း ရာသီဥတုတိုက်စားခြင်းတို့ ရှိခဲ့သည်။ မွမ်းမံမှုများကို ရပ်ရွာနှင့် ဆရာတော်မှ ဦးစီး၍ ပြုလုပ်ကြပြီး ရှေးမူမပျက်လက်ရာများကိုလည်း ထိန်းသိမ်းထားပါသည်။ မှတ်တမ်း သမိုင်းအထောက်အထားများပြုလုပ်ရန် အခက်အခဲများနှင့် ထိန်းသိမ်းပြုပြင်မှု အနည်းအကျဉ်းသာ လုပ်နိုင်ပြီး ပစ္စည်းများအလုံအလောက်မရှိခြင်း တို့ကိုလည်းကြုံတွေ့ရပါသည်။
