  In 1849, under the order of King Bagan Min, Prince U Kyauk Lone constructed the Maha Thudassana Bridge at the western entrance of the Eindawya Pagoda. He also built two crocodile statues at the northern end of the bridge and two lion statues on brick platforms at the southern end. These statues are considered a model for later lion statues because they were built before the founding of Mandalay.

  The lion statues are a great way to study the traditional Burmese architecture, masonry, and stucco work of the late Konbaung era. They are also a well-known landmark for the locals near the Eindawya Pagoda; in fact, the neighborhood is often referred to as "Chinthe U Quarter" (Lion Head Quarter).

  In 1994, with the guidance of the head monk of the Mandalay Mahar Withudhayone New Monastery, Sayadaw Bhaddanta Vannitabhivamsa, the family of Ko Kan Chun and Ma Nwe Nwe Khaing from Mandalay restored the statues to their original form. However, the heads of the statues were damaged in the 2025 earthquake.

  ၁၈၄၉ ခုနှစ်တွင် ပုဂံမင်း၏အမိန့်အရ မင်းသားကြီးဦးကျောက်လုံးက အိမ်တော်ရာဘုရား အနောက်မုခ်တွင် မဟာသုဒဿနတံတားတည်ဆောက်ခဲ့ပြီး၊ တံတား၏ မြောက်ဘက်ထိပ်တွင် မိချောင်းရုပ်တုနှစ်ခုနှင့် တောင်ဘက်အဆုံးတံတားအဆင်းတွင် အုတ်ခုံခံ၍ လမ်းဝဲယာတွင် ခြင်္သေ့ရုပ်တုနှစ်ခု တည်ဆောက်ထားခဲ့သည်။ မန္တလေးမြို့မတည်မီကတည်းက တည်ဆောက်ထားသည့်အတွက် ထိုခြင်္သေ့ရုပ်တုများသည် နောက်ပိုင်းခေတ် ခြင်္သေ့ရုပ်တုများ၏ နမူနာပုံစံ ဖြစ်လာခဲ့ကြသည်။

  ၁၉၉၄ ခုနှစ်တွင် မန္တလေး မဟာဝိသုဒ္ဓါရုံတိုက်သစ် မဟာနာယက ဝါးတန်းကျောင်းဆရာတော် ဘဒ္ဒန္တဝဏ္ဏိတာဘိဝံသကြီးမှူး၍ မန္တလေးမြို့နေ ကိုကံချွန်၊ မနွယ်နွယ်ခိုင်မိသားစုမှ ခြင်္သေ့ရုပ်တုများကို ရှေးမူမပျက် ပြန်လည်ပြုပြင်ခဲ့သည်။ ၂၀၂၅ ခုနှစ်ငလျင်ကြောင့် ဦးခေါင်းပိုင်းများ ပြိုကျပျက်စီးသွားခဲ့သည်။
