  The original Nipattaw paintings at the Paunglaegyi Pagoda were created by Saya Hmi and U Ba Tin, and they were later restored and repainted by other artists, including Hla Nwe, Maung Ba Khin, and Min Han Kyaw. The paintings were worked on a plaster wall and vary in size, though most are about 5'x4'. Based on pagoda renovation records, it's estimated that they were painted around 1990.

  These paintings are significant for anyone studying Nipat art and Burmese art history, and they are also important for the descendants of the artists who created them. Additionally, because the names of the donors are inscribed on the paintings, they hold great value for the families who contributed to them. The paintings feature the vibrant colors typical of Nipat art. A unique aspect is how the artist painted frames on the wall to make the murals look as if they were hanging like framed pictures.

  Unfortunately, many of the paintings were damaged by the earthquake on March 28, 2025, and are currently undergoing restoration.

  ပေါင်းလဲကြီးဘုရားရှိ နိပါတ်တော်ပန်းချီများ၏ မူရင်းရေးဆွဲသူများမှာ ဆရာမှီနှင့် ဦးဘတင်တို့ဖြစ်ပြီး၊ နှောင်းခေတ်ပန်းချီဆရာများမှ ပြုပြင်မွမ်းမံ ရေးဆွဲထားသော ပန်းချီကားများဖြစ်သည်။ ပြုပြင်မွမ်းမံပန်းချီဆရာများမှာ လှနွယ်၊ မောင်ဘခင်နှင့် မင်းဟန်ကျော် တို့ဖြစ်ကြသည်၊၊ အင်္ဂတေနံရံပေါ်တွင် ဆွဲထားပါသည်။ အချိုးအစားအမျိုးမျိုးကို တွေ့ရပြီး အများစုမှာ ၅'×၄' ခန့်ရှိသော ပန်းချီများဖြစ်သည်။ ဘုရားပြုပြင်သည့် ကမ္ပည်းမှတ်တမ်းများအရ ၁၉၉၀ ပြည့်နှစ်ဝန်းကျင်ခန့်က ရေးဆွဲထား‌‌ခြင်းဖြစ်မည်ဟု ခန့်မှန်းရသည်၊၊

  နိပါတ်တော်ပန်းချီလေ့လာသူများနှင့် မြန်မာ့ပန်းချီသမိုင်းလေ့လာသူများအတွက် အရေးပါသည်။ ရေးဆွဲထားသော ပန်းချီဆရာများ၏ မျိုးဆက်များအတွက်လည်း အရေးပါသည်။ ထို့အပြင် ပန်းချီကားအသီးသီးတွင် လှူဒါန်းသူတို့၏အမည်များပါ ရေးထိုးထားသောကြောင့် လှူဒါန်းခဲ့သူမိသားစုများအတွက် အရေးပါသောပန်းချီများဖြစ်သည်။ နိပါတ်တော် ပန်းချီကားများ၏ ဓလေ့အတိုင်း စိုတောက်သော အရောင်များကို အသုံးပြုထားသည်။ အုတ်နံရံပေါ်တွင်ရေးဆွဲထားသော်လည်း ဘောင်ခတ်ထားသည့်ပုံစံဖြစ်အောင် ဆေးခြယ်၍ ဘောင်များပြုလုပ်ထားပြီး ချိတ်ဆွဲထားသည့်ဟန်ဖြစ်အောင် ပြုလုပ်ထားသည်မှာလည်း ထူးခြားသည်။

  ၂၀၂၅ ခုနှစ် မတ်လ ၂၈ ရက်တွင်လှုပ်ခတ်ခဲ့‌သည့် ‌‌‌ ငလျင်ကြောင့် ပန်းချီများအများအပြား ပျက်စီးခဲ့ရပြီး ၎င်းတို့အား ပြန်လည်ပြုပြင်နေဆဲဖြစ်ပါသည်၊၊
