  Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery, built around 1889 (Burmese year 1251) by Saw Ohn, the Saopha of Yawnghwe (Nyaungshwe), is a significant cultural heritage site. Constructed from wood and adorned with intricate glass mosaics, the monastery is supported by 167 wooden pillars.

  Its unique features include wooden pillars decorated with glass mosaics, giving it the appearance of a royal palace. The oval-shaped windows are a testament to the architectural and artistic styles of the period, making them a popular subject for photographers, artists, and tourists. The original forms of the statues on the stairs are preserved, showcasing glass mosaics of Buddha images and spirit figures.

  The monastery also houses various pulpits and monastery buildings from different eras, all featuring glass mosaics, which are carefully maintained by the local community. The site is a focal point for annual food-offering ceremonies and traditional new year celebrations.

  Currently, Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery requires renovation due to damage sustained in the 2025 earthquake, and these repairs have been delayed.

  ရွှေရန်ပြေဘုန်းကြီးကျောင်းကို မြန်မာသက္ကရာဇ် ၁၂၅၁ ခုနှစ်၊ ခရစ်သက္ကရာဇ် ၁၈၈၉ ခုနှစ် ခန့်တွင် ညောင်ရွှေစော်ဘွားကြီး စောအုံမှ တည်ထားကိုးကွယ်ခဲ့ပါသည်။ သစ်သားနှင့် မှန်စီရွှေချ လက်ရာများကိုအသုံးပြု၍ တည်ထားခဲ့သော ဘုန်းကြီးကျောင်းဖြစ်ပါသည်။ သစ်သားတိုင် (၁၆၇) တိုင်ဖြင့် တည်ဆောက်ထားပါသည်။

  ရွှေရန်ပြေဘုန်းကြီးကျောင်း၏ ထူးခြားချက်များမှာ သစ်သားတိုင်များသည် မှန်စီရွှေချလက်ရာများရှိပြီး ဘုန်းကြီးကျောင်းကို နန်းပြဿဒ်ဆောင်နှင့်တူသော အဆောက်အဦပုံစံ တည်ဆောက်ထားပါသည်။ ဘဲဉပုံ ပြတင်းပေါက်များကလည်း ထိုခေတ်၏ ဗိသုကာလက်ရာနှင့် အနုပညာဖန်တီးမှုကို တွေ့မြင်နိုင်ပါသည်။ ထိုပြတင်းပေါက်များမှာ ဓါတ်ပုံရိုက်သူများ၊ အနုပညာရှင်များနှင့် ခရီးသွားများအတွက် ဆွဲဆောင်မှု တစ်ခုဖြစ်နေပါသည်၊ လှေကားများတွင်ရှိသော ရုပ်ထုများလည်း ရှေးမူအတိုင်းရှိနေပြီး မှန်စီရွှေချလက်ရာရုပ်ပွားတော်များ နတ်ရုပ်တုများအပြင် မှန်ဖြင့်ပုံဖော်ထားခြင်း ကိုလည်း တွေ့နိုင်ပါသည်။

  ကျောင်းပေါ်တွင် ခေတ်အဆက်ဆက် မှန်စီရွှေချလက်ရာ တရားဟောပုလ္လင်များ၊ ကျောင်းဆောင်များကို ယဉ်ကျေးမှု အမွေအနှစ်များအဖြစ် ထိန်းသိမ်းထားပါသည်။

  ရပ်ရွာလူထု၏ လက်ဆင့်ကမ်း ထိန်းသိမ်းလာခဲ့သော ယဉ်ကျေးမှုအမွေအနှစ်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။ ဆွမ်းလောင်းပွဲနှင့် တာတက်ပွဲများကို နှစ်စဉ်ကျင်းပလေ့ရှိကြပါသည်။

  ရွှေရန်ပြေဘုန်းကြီးကျောင်းသည် ၂၀၂၅ ခုနှစ်တွင်ဖြစ်ပွားခဲ့သော ငလျင်ဒဏ်ကြောင့် ထိခိုက်ခဲ့ရပြီး ပျက်စီးမှုများရှိနေကာ ပြန်လည်မွမ်းမံမှုများ နှောင့်နှေးလျက်ရှိပါသည်။
