Asset Description

The ancient city of Samka is home to 115 pagodas, believed to have been constructed by Saopha Min Khun Phyu in 1774 AD (1136 ME). These pagodas showcase the distinctive artistry and architecture of the Yun Shan (Northern Thai) people .
Following the construction of the Mobye Dam, many of these pagodas were submerged and damaged. While a significant number now lie within Samka Lake, a large proportion are also situated on dry land in Samka town. The pagodas on land still exhibit their original ancient artistry but require renovation. Those along the waterline have recently undergone repairs. The pagodas of Samka are an integral part of Inle Lake's rich heritage and scenic beauty.
Historically, annual alms-offering ceremonies and New Year celebrations were held, attracting numerous visitors; however, these festivals are currently suspended.
Each year, rising water levels in Samka and Inle Lake cause damage to many of the submerged pagodas. The head monk and the local community are collaboratively working to repair and maintain them.

စံကားမြို့ဟောင်းမှ စေတီတော်များကို မြန်မာသက္ကရာဇ် ၁၁၃၆ ခုနှစ်၊ ခရစ်သက္ကရာဇ် ၁၇၇၄ ခုနှစ် တွင် စော်ဘွား မင်းခွန်ဖြူတည်ထားခဲ့သည်ဟု ဆိုကြသည်။ ယွန်းရှမ်းလူမျိုးများ၏ အနုပညာလက်ရာနှင့် ဗိသုကာလက်ရာများကို တွေ့မြင်နိုင်ပါသည်။ စေတီပေါင်း (၁၁၅) ဆူရှိပါသည်။
မိုးဗြဲဆည်တည်ဆောက်အပြီး စေတီအများစုမှာ ရေအောက်သို့ရောက်ရှိသွားပြီး ပျက်စီးမှုများဖြစ်ခဲ့သည်။ စေတီများမှာ စကားအင်းထဲတွင်သာမက စကားမြို့တွင်း ကုန်းပေါ်တွင်လည်း အများအပြားရှိပါသည်။ ကုန်းပေါ်စေတီများမှာ ရှေးခေတ်လက်ရာများ ကျန်နေသေးသော်လည်း ပြုပြင်ရန်လိုအပ်နေပါသည်။ ရေစပ်ရှိစေတီများမှာ ယခုအခါ ပြုပြင်ပြီးဖြစ်သည်။ စကားဘုရားများသည် အင်းလေးဒေသ၏ အမွေအနှစ်တစ်ခုဖြစ်သကဲ့သို့ အင်းလေးဒေသ၏ အလှတစ်ခုဖြစ်ပါသည်။
နှစ်စဥ်နှစ်တိုင်း ဆွမ်းလောင်းပွဲ၊ တာတက်ပွဲများ ကျင်းပလေ့ရှိပြီး လာရောက်လည်ပတ်သူများနှင့် စည်ကားခဲ့သော်လည်း ယခုအခါတွင် ပွဲတော်များကိုရပ်ဆိုင်း ထားခဲ့ပါသည်။
နှစ်စဉ် စံကားအင်းနှင့် အင်းလေးကန် ရေတက်ချိန်၌ ရေအောက်ရောက်ရှိသွားသော စေတီအများစုမှာ ပျက်စီးသွားသည်ကများသည်။ ကျောင်းထိုင်ဘုန်းကြီးနှင့် ရပ်ရွာ လူထုများမှ ဝိုင်းဝန်းပြုပြင်ထိန်းသိမ်းမှုများကို လုပ်ဆောင်ကြပါသည်။
